During the 2025 Asian Winter Games, while athletes competed on the ice and snow, robust communication infrastructure played a critical role in supporting emergency medical operations. To ensure rapid and reliable medical response, approximately 40 Hongdian 5G CPE devices were installed in emergency medical vehicles. These devices provided a high-speed, stable, and secure mobile network, enabling real-time data transmission for life-saving interventions.
The Hongdian 5G CPE devices, integrated with a dedicated 5G medical private network, delivered ultra-low latency connectivity for emergency vehicles. Leveraging DNN and network slicing technologies, the network prioritized bandwidth for critical medical data, ensuring uninterrupted signal continuity even during high-speed transit. Equipped with multi-band 5G antennas and intelligent optimization algorithms, the CPE devices maintained stable connectivity in challenging environments, resolving common issues such as signal dropouts and data loss in traditional emergency systems.
Within ambulances, the Hongdian 5G CPE’s high-performance Wi-Fi module supported simultaneous connections for ECG monitors, medical imaging equipment, and staff devices. Patient vital signs, diagnostic images, and other critical data were securely transmitted to hospital command centers via end-to-end encrypted channels. The system incorporated full-process platform monitoring to safeguard against data breaches.
"Medical data from ambulances reaches hospital systems in just 3 seconds, improving emergency response efficiency by over 50%," explained a medical team member. During emergencies, clinicians used real-time ECG monitoring and instant data transmission via the low-latency 5G network to enable remote consultations with specialists, accelerating treatment decisions.
The Hongdian 5G CPE also demonstrated adaptability in mountainous and tunnel-heavy terrains of the Winter Games zone. Its high-gain antennas and dynamic signal optimization ensured network latency remained below 15 milliseconds, even at speeds of 120 km/h, guaranteeing uninterrupted connectivity.
This deployment highlights how advanced 5G technology strengthens healthcare support at large-scale events. By enhancing medical resource coordination, Hongdian 5G CPE ensures swift and precise emergency responses during the Asian Winter Games, with potential applications extending to urban emergency services and disaster relief operations.
